Position Summary

The Assistant Production Manager supports daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery across all coating departments. This role acts as a key link between leadership and the shop floor, helping execute production plans, resolve issues in real time, and maintain workflow across prep, hanging, blasting, powder coating, liquid coating, curing, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and executing daily and weekly production schedules.

Monitor workflow across departments to prevent bottlenecks and downtime.

Ensure jobs are properly staged, prepped, and ready before coating.

Coordinate labor allocation based on production priorities.

Support quality inspections and enforce SOP compliance.

Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or delays immediately.

Enforce safety rules, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Support training, onboarding, and employee accountability.

Assist with equipment monitoring and preventive maintenance coordination.

Required Qualifications

2+ years in production or manufacturing environments.

Strong understanding of shop floor operations.

Leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work in fast-paced industrial settings.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, work in industrial environments, and wear required PPE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
