Position Summary
The Assistant Production Manager supports the Production Manager in coordinating daily operations for bathroom remodeling projects. This hands-on role helps ensure crews have the materials, tools, and support needed to complete projects efficiently and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. The Assistant Production Manager will assist with material procurement, warehouse operations, field support, service work, and installation coverage when necessary.
This position requires a dependable, organized individual with general construction knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to work both in the office and in the field.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Field Support
- Assist the Production Manager with scheduling, project coordination, and daily operational needs.
- Order materials, supplies, and equipment for upcoming projects.
- Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and supplies to installation crews and job sites.
- Verify that crews have the necessary materials to complete projects on schedule.
- Communicate with installers, vendors, and management regarding project needs and updates.
Installation & Service Support
- Provide installation support when needed due to staffing shortages, employee absences, or increased workload.
- Perform general construction and remodeling tasks as required.
- Respond to customer service requests and warranty calls when needed.
- Ensure service work is completed professionally and to company quality standards.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with receiving deliveries and unloading trucks.
- Organize, stock, and maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure warehouse areas remain clean, safe, and organized.
- Prepare materials and supplies for upcoming installations.
Customer Service
- Interact professionally with customers during service calls and site visits.
- Address customer concerns in a courteous and solution-oriented manner.
- Represent the company positively at all times.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the warehouse, on job sites, and while operating company vehicles.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
QualificationsRequired
- General construction, remodeling, or home improvement experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Experience in bathroom remodeling, residential construction, or similar trades.
- Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and finishing work.
- Experience with inventory management and material procurement.
- Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained).
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various environments throughout the day.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
This position plays a critical role in supporting production operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a positive experience for both our installation teams and customers.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
