Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the production process by overseeing daily operations on the factory floor, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. You will work closely with team members to coordinate assembly line activities, monitor workflow, and uphold manufacturing best practices. Responsibilities
- Assist the production supervisor in managing daily manufacturing operations during the 2nd shift.
- Supervise assembly line activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with team members to optimize workflow and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues promptly.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and warehouse equipment such as forklifts to support production tasks as needed.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and work areas to identify maintenance or safety concerns and report them accordingly.
- Support training of new team members on assembly processes, safety procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with hands-on assembly line exposure.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and warehouse equipment like forklifts.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
- Warehouse experience including handling materials with forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Familiarity with assembly procedures and the use of various hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
