Role Summary

SRGI is seeking a dynamic, research-oriented, and student-centric Assistant Professor to join our Department of Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to MBA and/or BBA students, with a specific focus on either Finance or Operations Management. You will play a key role in integrating management principles with the technical mindset of our engineering and professional students.

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Excellence & Teaching

• Deliver lectures using modern pedagogical tools (Case studies, Simulations, and ICT-enabled teaching).
• Develop course curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials specifically for Finance (e.g., Financial Modeling, Fintech, Corporate Finance) or Operations (e.g., Supply Chain, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management).
• Conduct internal assessments, examinations, and evaluate student performance fairly.
• Mentor students for academic growth and career counseling.

2. Research & Development

• Publish high-quality research papers in SCOPUS, Web of Science, or UGC-CARE listed journals.
• Guide student projects and dissertations.
• Participate in and organize Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, and national/international conferences.

3. Institutional & Administrative Duties

• Assist the Training & Placement (T&P) cell in grooming students for corporate interviews.
• Contribute to departmental administrative tasks such as NAAC/NBA documentation.
• Organize industry visits, guest lectures, and management fests.
• Maintain a minimum of 95% attendance and adhere to the institution’s code of conduct.

Qualification & Experience (As per AICTE/UGC Norms)

• Education: * Finance: MBA/PGDM in Finance with a first-class degree. Ph.D. in a relevant domain is highly preferred.
• Operations: MBA/PGDM in Operations/Sourcing/Supply Chain. Candidates with an Engineering background (B.Tech + MBA) will be given preference.
• Eligibility: UGC-NET/SLET qualification is mandatory for candidates without a Ph.D.
• Experience: 0–5 years of teaching or industrial experience. Freshers with exceptional academic records and Ph.D. holders are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Domain Expertise: Strong conceptual knowledge of Financial Markets or Production & Operations Systems.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel (for Finance) or ERP/Optimization tools (for Operations).
• Leadership: Ability to lead student committees and manage departmental events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,774.77 - ₹45,202.04 per month
