Job Summary:

The College of Media and Public Relations at Liwa University is inviting applicants for a position of Assistant Professor in Communication (specialization in Government and Corporate (Institutional) Communication). The successful candidate is expected to start in January 2026 in Al Ain campus.

The selected candidate will teach both theoretical and practical courses. The candidate must be highly self-motivated to achieve the mission of the College of Media and Public Relations in the areas of teaching, research, and community/professional service.

The successful candidates will:

  • Participate in teaching theoretical and practical courses in Governmental and Corporate (Institutional) Communication.
  • Teach other courses as per the College needs.
  • Provide academic advising to students.
  • Perform college, community, and professional service.
  • Assist in the continued development and promotion of the program.



Competencies:

Candidates must possess a notable track record of teaching and scholarship. The successful candidate should show great research potential with promising working papers on track to publication in Scopus-indexed journals or Arcif-indexed Arabic journals. Existing publications in top-tier journals are a plus. A record of employment or consultancy in government or corporate communication is an advantage. The ability to use Artificial Intelligence applications in teaching is a plus. In addition, proficiency in digital media tools and social media management is desirable.


Requirements:

Minimum qualifications include:

  • A Ph.D. holder in Communication with a specialization in Governmental and Corporate (Institutional) Communication.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
  • A minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Governmental and Corporate (Institutional) Communication in an institution of higher learning.
  • A publication record in academic journals in topics related to Governmental and Corporate (Institutional) Communication. Related research areas are Public and Organizational Communication.
