Duties and responsibilities:

  • Teach two-to-three courses per semester in a broad range of possible Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering subjects, as needed.
  • Conduct and publish high quality, peer-reviewed scholarly research and present at technical conferences.
  • Mentor and advise students for independent research projects and other academic needs.
  • Perform rank-appropriate service activities for the Department, School, and Institution, including assisting in curriculum development, participating in the accreditation process, serving on committees, and other service as necessary.

This is an onsite, 10-month compensation model, excepted service federal faculty position with a 3-year renewable appointment, a highly competitive salary, and full federal benefits.
