NHU Riyadh is the Saudi branch campus of the University of New Haven, a private, nonprofit university founded in 1920 in Connecticut, USA. Launching in Fall 2026, NHU Riyadh will bring an American university experience to Riyadh through the same accreditation, faculty standards, and career focused educational approach that define the University of New Haven. The University's academic programs are grounded in a long standing commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary, project based learning. NHU Riyadh is being established to deliver academically rigorous, industry aligned education that supports Saudi Arabia's evolving workforce needs. The College of Business and Digital Innovation at NHU Riyadh invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Sport Management, beginning in Fall 2026. This is an opportunity to join a new academic venture and contribute to the development of business education in a dynamic, internationally connected setting. This position includes teaching, service, and research expectations along with the opportunity to develop innovative and relevant business curricula. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a student centered approach. You Will
- Teach: Inspire and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in sport management, incorporating the latest advancements and real world applications. Courses to be taught may include one or more of the following:
- Social Issues in Sport
- Globalization of Sport
- Management of Sport Industries
- Governance and Legal Aspects of Sport
- Sport Facility Management
- Revenue Generation in Sport
- Sport Event and Venue Management
- Digital Communication and Public Relations in Sport
- International Sport Management
- Sport Business Analytics
- Modern Media Business and Stakeholder Relations in Sports
- Academic Assessment: Collect learning assessment data as needed.
- Research: Conduct cutting edge research that advances the field of Sport Management.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative curricula.
- Mentorship: Guide and advise students, fostering their professional development and preparing them for successful careers.
- Service: Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
- Student Engagement: Support and engage in student focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the NHU Riyadh campus.

You Need
- Ph.D. in Sport Management or Sport Administration
- M.B.A. with concentration in Sport Management; M.S. Sport Management will be considered.
- Teaching Excellence: Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with a passion for student learning and mentorship.
- Research Potential: A strong research record or the potential to conduct high quality intellectual contributions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with students.
- Bilingual language skills are a plus.
- Business Practice Experience: Business practice experience is well regarded.
