As a Construction Assistant Project Manager, you will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope.:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Establish project objectives, scopes, and deliverables that align with client requirements and company goals.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to keep the project on track.
- Team Coordination and Supervision:
- Lead project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers, to ensure smooth and timely execution of tasks.
- Assign roles and responsibilities to team members and provide guidance throughout the project.
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise on the job site.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and budget considerations.
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and government officials, to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Conduct meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
- Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce quality standards and ensure that all construction work is performed to meet regulatory codes and client expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Address safety issues and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Contract Management and Documentation:
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and organized, including permits, drawings, and contracts.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks or obstacles in the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement contingency plans to address any unforeseen challenges that may arise during construction.
- Project Handover and Closeout:
- Ensure all project requirements are met before the final handover to the client.
- Conduct final inspections and address any outstanding issues or punch-list items.
- Complete project closeout documentation and review lessons learned for future projects.
