Assistant Project Manager

All Campus Security (ACS) is searching for a highly motivated candidate to join our team, as an Assistant Project Manager with the potential to grow into a leadership role within the rapidly growing Security Industry space. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with hands-on or technical experience who is ready to transition into Project Management.

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will support senior leadership, while gaining direct exposure to planning, scheduling, and the coordination of large-scale security projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing projects in deployments involving Video Surveillance, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Networking, Fiber Optics, and Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Learn to serve as a point of contact between clients and contractors, under the guidance of experienced Senior Project Managers.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings and contribute to creating a culture of safety.
  • Observe and Escalate safety concerns or risks immediately to senior team members.
  • Support coordination with Purchasing, Field Operations, and Vendors to ensure materials and labor are available when needed.
  • Periodically conduct site visits to support progress tracking and Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain accurate project status reports and assist in monitoring in Procore software.
  • Review and interpret, Progress Drawings, and Bill of Materials with the aid of mentoring support.
  • Monitor, and be proactive in the management of Service Tickets, Projects, and general communication flowing through GigWire, a unique ACS Project Management, Ticketing, and Communication Application.
  • Collaborate with General Contractors on larger projects under senior guidance.
  • Adapt to varying schedules, including days, evenings, and occasional weekends, as projects require.
  • Assist in sourcing skilled contractors, including onboarding, evaluating, and training partners.
  • Oversee and ensure contractors’ costs are properly allocated to projects.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.


Key Qualifications

  • Fire Alarm experience is a bonus.
  • Proven history of upward mobility within roles.
  • Aptitude for management and leadership with some experience.
  • Hands-on experience in security integration or related field is strongly preferred, such as the deployment of hardware and software related to Video Surveillance, Access Control, Networking, and General Low Voltage Cabling.
  • Must have aptitude in learning Project Management Skills and the drive to grow into a Leadership Role.
  • Strong Organizational and detail-oriented stills; comfort with spreadsheets and data tracking. General knowledge of Microsoft 365 is a must.
  • Must be able to read or learn to read, Progress Drawings, Floor Plans, or Takeoffs.
  • Applicants must pass Background Check and Drug Screening.


Bonus Qualifications

  • Certifications on specific security platforms such as Milestone’s XProtect, Genetec, i-PRO, Open Options, Avigilon, Motorola, Verkada, Bosch, Potter, Notifier, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Fire Alarm Deployment and Code.
  • Experience with Procore’s Construction Software.
