Overview
K2’s Security Solutions Group (SSG) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support aviation security and construction-based security systems integration projects. This role supports projects in regulated environments such as airports and other critical infrastructure facilities, assisting with planning, coordination, documentation, and on-site execution.

Responsibilities

Support the full lifecycle of aviation security and construction-focused security integration projects

Assist with site validations and implementation planning in active airport and secure construction environments

Develop and maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with SSG and PMO standards

Support development and tracking of project scope, schedules, and budgets

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors supporting security and construction scopes of work

Interface with client contacts regarding site operations, construction sequencing, and security requirements

Support punch list completion and project closeout activities

Perform and manage on-site and warehouse inventory of security and construction-related equipment

Participate in project coordination calls, trainings, and department meetings

Adhere to site safety policies, OSHA regulations, and secure facility access requirements
Qualifications

Associate degree or trade certification required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Exposure to aviation, airport operations, security systems, or construction projects preferred

Knowledge of construction practices and processes in regulated or mission-critical environments

Customer service–driven and able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and the PMO
-
Ability to multitask and work independently in fast-paced field environments

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
