Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Center Assistant Project Manager to support the planning and execution of mission-critical facility projects in Northern Virginia, including sites within Ashburn, Manassas, and Sterling.
This role supports the Project Manager across the full project lifecycle - from pre-construction through commissioning - assisting with schedules, budgets, and stakeholder coordination while working closely with MEP trades and equipment vendors to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within scope.
Responsibilities

Support planning and execution of data center construction and retrofit projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover

Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and risk logs

Help coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and controls teams on critical infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, cooling, switchgear)

Track subcontractor performance, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Support compliance efforts related to local Virginia jurisdiction codes, utility coordination requirements, and safety standards

Prepare project status updates and reports for the Project Manager and stakeholders

Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and action item tracking
Qualifications

1+ years of project coordination, project management, or construction experience preferred; candidates with strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

Basic familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in commercial or industrial settings a plus

Comfortable using or learning project scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project)

PMP certification or interest in pursuing certification a plus

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience

Ability to work on-site in Northern Virginia
