Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

Position Overview

Northlake Construction is seeking a Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is ideal for recent Construction Management graduates or experienced laborers looking to move into a management or operations role within the construction industry.

You will work closely with project managers, estimators, and field crews to support day-to-day operations and learn how site work projects are coordinated from bid through completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling crews, equipment, and material deliveries
• Support project managers and estimators with project coordination
• Track job progress and help maintain project documentation
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding materials and pricing
• Assist with bid preparation and estimating support
• Organize project files, contracts, and change orders
• Perform occasional job site visits and assist with field coordination

Qualifications

• Background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, OR relevant construction field experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, project tracking, procore, bluebeam)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license required
