Assistant Project Manager / Estimator

Duties

  • Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules that align with client expectations and company standards.
  • Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information, verify quantities, and assess project conditions to inform accurate estimations.
  • Support negotiation efforts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Review contracts and scope of work documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Aid in tracking project costs throughout the construction process, identifying potential overruns early, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Contribute to project management activities by coordinating schedules, assisting with procurement, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for smooth project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience or strong familiarity with construction estimating processes
  • Solid understanding of construction management principles, including cost control, pricing strategies, and contract administration.
  • Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and project execution challenges.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate effective communication with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, project management methodologies, and safety standards relevant to the industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction-specific software is highly desirable. Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
