Job Summary

Telerelation is seeking a capable and experienced Assistant Project Manager (HVAC) to support mechanical contracting projects, particularly for NYSCA standards. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience in HVAC project management, preferably with a mechanical contractor. This role involves schedule planning, cost tracking, technical coordination, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise HVAC installations and ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and NYSCA standards.
  • Review project schedules and generate two-week look-ahead plans.
  • Analyze blueprints and design specs to determine HVAC configurations.
  • Track job costs and budgets weekly; manage change orders with owners and GCs.
  • Review and submit technical documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Design and manage project schedules and work instructions.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Recommend quality improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in coordination with Purchasing.
  • Manage contract administration, including billing, expenses, and collections.
  • Lead job closeout activities, including punch list resolution, as-built documentation, and warranty tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in HVAC project management, preferably with a mechanical contractor.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sequence of operations.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
