Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support our property management team in overseeing residential and commercial properties. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is eager to learn the industry from the ground up and build a lasting career with us. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with or without a background in real estate administration, property leasing, and customer service to contribute to the efficient operation of our properties. While previous property management experience is a plus, we prioritize a strong work ethic that thrives in a dynamic environment; eager to take on a growing list of responsibilities as Bluestem expands and evolves. This position is integral to maintaining high tenant satisfaction, and supporting property maintenance and leasing activities.
Duties -
Leasing
- Lead qualifying & follow up
- Scheduling, driving to appointments, conducting inperson/video call tours for available properties
- Renewals - scheduling inspections, sending renewal with updated terms through appfolio
- Application and lease signing
- Move in preparations
Administrative
- Answering and making phone calls
- Sending emails
- Maintaining a calendar
- Filing/scanning documents/receipts and uploading to google drive or appfolio
- Collecting and tracking property information inside of computer softwares
- Collecting rent/payments
Social Media
- Handle weekly social media creation and posts
Maintenance/Inspections
- Using inspector software to complete move out/renewal inspections periodically
- Showing up for scheduled housing & various city inspections, keeping notes
- Showing up for assigned work orders to open doors mostly for apartment complexes- scheduled pest control, utilities, etc
- Inputting and drafting bills
Qualifications
- Have reliable transportation - Mileage Reimbursed
- Have a smartphone - Stipend Paid
- College degree not required
- Proficiency in computer/software skills
- Office experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Ability to handle data entry accurately and manage filing systems efficiently
- Experience in facilities management or maintenance coordination is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and contract discussions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to uphold confidentiality at all times

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
