Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will support the overall operations of residential or commercial properties, ensuring exceptional tenant relations, efficient administrative processes, and compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Support tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and providing excellent customer service
- Conduct property tours for prospective tenants and upsell available units or amenities to maximize occupancy
- Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite, including data entry, filing, and lease documentation
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to oversee property upkeep, facilities management, and repairs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
- Assist with legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, contracts, and landlord-tenant law enforcement
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in property leasing and customer relationship management
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; experience with CMMS is a plus
- Strong conflict management skills combined with effective negotiation abilities to resolve tenant issues amicably
- Excellent office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and legal administrative procedures
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor and positive attitude
