Position Overview

The Assistant Property Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of a diverse residential portfolio. This position is located in Marina Bay, Quincy and focuses on resident relations, lease administration, legal cases, rent collection, and coordination with both internal departments and external agencies. You’ll be the front line of communication with residents and contribute directly to tenant satisfaction and retention.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires organization, attention to detail, strong communication, and an ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant topics such as leases, AR, turnovers, maintenance etc.
  • Maintain professional, clear communication to support resident and owner satisfaction
  • Prepare lease renewals and manage Section 8 paperwork
  • Track lease expirations and coordinate with housing agencies
  • Process rental applications, background checks, and move-in documentation
  • Support marketing efforts and maintain accurate unit listings
  • Coordinate rent collection, payment arrangements, and financial records
  • Prepare legal documents and attend eviction proceedings as needed
  • Collaborate with maintenance, accounting, and property management teams
  • Keep tenant records updated in RentManager
  • Assist with inspections, site visits, and administrative tasks

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in property management or real estate
  • 2+ years of general office experience
  • Familiarity with Section 8 and subsidized housing paperwork
  • Associate degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (RentManager, Yardi, RentCafe etc.)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Multitasking and working well in fast paced environment
  • Understanding of Fair Housing Laws

Preferred:

  • Additional language fluency (Spanish, French, Creole, and/or Portuguese)

Work Environment & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: $50,000 - $68,000/year, based on experience
