Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

MAKE AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT AS A MINISTER OF JUSTICE

The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is seeking exceptional attorneys and law school graduates who are passionate about criminal prosecution and committed to making a real difference in their community. If you're looking for meaningful work where you can develop your skills, gain immediate courtroom experience, and help ensure justice for victims and the community, this is your opportunity.

WHY CHOOSE GREENE COUNTY?

UNPARALLELED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Unlike many entry-level legal positions where you might spend years doing research and document review, you'll immediately begin prosecuting cases—from traffic infractions to serious felonies. You'll handle cases from initial law enforcement referral through post-conviction proceedings, giving you comprehensive experience that would take years to acquire in private practice.

MENTORSHIP FROM AWARD-WINNING ATTORNEYS

Join the largest law office in Southwest Missouri and work alongside experienced, award-winning prosecutors who are invested in your success. Our structured mentoring program ensures you'll have guidance and support as you develop your trial skills and legal expertise.

COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING & CAREER GROWTH

We're committed to your professional development through ongoing training programs, continuing legal education, and our unique Sabbatical Program—giving you opportunities to recharge and pursue additional professional development throughout your career.

IMMEDIATE TRIAL EXPERIENCE

Stop dreaming about being in the courtroom—start doing it. You'll gain more hands-on courtroom experience in your first year than many attorneys get in a decade of private practice. Our office handles significant caseloads, which means abundant opportunities to hone your advocacy skills.
