POSITION: Technical Support Specialist

Responsibilities:
Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems with computer systems. Provides day-to-day support to end-users as well as installation and maintenance of hardware and software.

Considerable knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications.

Considerable knowledge of deployed hardware and software.

Considerable knowledge of LANs, WANs, and their potential applications, network operating systems, hardware, and software.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to grasp new concepts and terminology quickly; interpret problems and use good judgment to determine effective solutions.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, County officials, and others; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to work in stressful situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Education and Experience
- 6 months+ training beyond High School
