Assistant Ranch Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Ranch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our ranch.

The ranch manager will report directly to the volunteer coordinator, but will also communicate directly with the president. The ranch manager will be expected to work with the volunteer coordinator to welcome, train and oversee new volunteers (approximately 1-5 volunteers per day).

The ranch manager will work with volunteers at Hanaeleh to do daily ranch chores, including but not limited to: feeding the am hay/pellets to all of the horses; cleaning the stalls; taking the muck buckets down to the dumpster; turning horses out and giving oral medication.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has horse experience but would like experience running a small ranch.

Requirements
- 18 or older
- Legally able to work in the U.S.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Skills
- Experience in animal husbandry and care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
-Experience working with horses

-Able to visibly identify different types of hay

-Able to give oral medication

-Communicates well with others

-Can take direction and work independently

-Able to manage and direct others in a respectful manner
