About the role:
Client‑side site leadership supporting the RE on all automated/container‑handling equipment (CHE) packages, gantry cranes (STS/RMG/RTG), AGVs/ASCs, lifters, and yard equipment, across installation, integration, testing, and ramp‑up.
Key responsibilities:
Act as the RE’s delegate for day‑to‑day CHE/plant supervision, RAMS oversight, and method statements.
Review OEM submittals (design data, GA drawings, load charts, FAT/iFAT plans) and comment for compliance.
Witness lifting/erection, alignment, commissioning, and performance runs; track punch lists to close out.
Coordinate interfaces with civil, power, comms, SCADA, TOS/ECS, and safety systems.
Drive quality, progress, and HSE conformance; issue NCRs/SORs and weekly progress reports.
Support contractual administration (variations, claims logs, progress valuations) for equipment lots.
Qualifications & experience:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or similar; PMP/CMI/NEBOSH an advantage.
10–12+ years’ experience, including 5+ in ports/marine CHE installation & commissioning.
Demonstrated exposure to STS/RTG/RMG/ASC/AGV systems, load testing, and OEM protocols.
Working knowledge of FIDIC supervision, RAMS, LOTO, lifting plans, and heavy equipment QA/QC.
