Position Summary:
The Assistant Scientists in the College of Science & Technology’s Biology division will be in the Chen Lab (ycdavidchen.com) to support research programs investigating how developing neurons acquire their identities and form precise connections during brain development. The lab uses Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies) as a model to study sensory circuit formation, applying genetic, molecular, and imaging-based approaches to uncover principles of neuronal wiring. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, genetics, or a related STEM field and at least 2 years of directly related laboratory research experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
