Assistant Store Leader – Bolster Hardware LLC

Bolster Hardware LLC is hiring an Assistant Store Leader (ASL) to join our growing operations team. With ongoing acquisitions and expansion plans, there’s an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact today and shape the future of our company.

About the Role

The ASL is a key leader who upholds our Core Values and drives store performance. You'll help lead daily operations, maximize sales and profitability, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. You’ll also coach and develop team members to grow within their roles.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Operations

  • Supervise daily workload, merchandising, and store presentation
  • Hire, train, and coach staff for success
  • Identify performance gaps and take corrective action
  • Support sales goals and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate marketing events and seasonal promotions
  • Manage vendor relationships and merchandising strategies
  • Forecast staffing needs and create schedules
  • Monitor payroll and maintain budget compliance


Customer Service

  • Make customer service the top priority
  • Lead by example to “Amaze Every Customer Every Time”
  • Use store meetings and huddles to engage and motivate the team
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively
  • Track and act on service metrics and feedback
  • Observe team interactions and provide regular coaching


Inventory

  • Maintain stock accuracy and reduce shrinkage
  • Oversee receiving, transfers, and inventory flow


Coaching & Training

  • Pursue personal development through learning opportunities
  • Ensure all associates complete required training


Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies and store standards
  • Conduct safety inspections and resolve any issues


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of retail leadership experience
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead fairly and effectively
  • Proficient in basic retail systems and reporting tools
  • Valid in-state driver’s license


Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.
