Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for retail management, with the ability to effectively train and develop team members while maintaining a positive store environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise and train staff on customer service best practices, sales techniques, and store policies.
- Manage inventory control processes, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct employee orientation and training sessions to ensure all team members are equipped with necessary skills.
- Handle payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
- Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for various positions within the store.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on budgeting and sales management initiatives to achieve store goals.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash management.
- Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions, inventory tracking, and sales reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or as an Assistant Manager in a similar environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, and retail math principles.
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting practices is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organizational skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are advantageous for enhancing customer interactions.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in marketing strategies to drive store performance.
