Assistant Store Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Material Handling & Inventory Control

• Receive, inspect, and store raw materials such as MS, SS, aluminum sheets, pipes, rods, and laser-cut components
• Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Issue materials to production (laser cutting, bending, welding, machining) as per requisition slips
• Monitor minimum stock levels and inform management for reordering
• Prevent material damage, rust, or mix-ups through proper storage practices

2. Store Operations

• Maintain proper labeling, identification, and segregation of materials
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is followed for material issue
• Keep store area clean, organized, and safe
• Handle scrap segregation and maintain scrap records

3. Documentation & Records

• Maintain inward and outward registers (manual or ERP)
• Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note), material issue slips, and delivery challans
• Coordinate with purchase and accounts departments for material verification
• Maintain tool, consumable, and spare parts records

4. Coordination with Production

• Coordinate with laser cutting, fabrication, and machining teams for daily material requirements
• Track job cards and ensure timely availability of materials
• Support production planning by updating stock availability

5. Tools, Consumables & Spares

• Issue and track tools, cutting nozzles, gases, lubricants, welding rods, and other consumables
• Monitor usage and prevent misuse or wastage
• Ensure availability of critical machine spares

6. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Ensure materials issued meet drawing and quality specifications
• Follow safety norms for material handling and storage
• Assist in audits related to inventory and store management

7. Dispatch & Logistics Support

• Assist in packing, labeling, and dispatch of finished laser-cut and fabricated parts
• Coordinate with transporters and maintain dispatch records
• Verify quantities and documentation before dispatch

Skills & Qualifications (Optional Section)

• Basic knowledge of sheet metal, laser cutting, fabrication, and machining materials
• Ability to read material specifications and part codes
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel / ERP preferred)

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
