Assistant Store & Spa Manager — Xēba Botánica

We're looking for someone to help lead the day-to-day at Xēba Botánica, a clean, plant-based skincare and candle brand built from scratch with one belief at its core: nontoxic shouldn't be a luxury, it should be the standard.

This isn't a typical retail job. Our space is part store, part spa, part community — clients come in for products, treatments, and the kind of personal experience that big beauty brands stopped offering a long time ago. The right person for this role genuinely cares about skin, ingredients, and people, and knows how to turn a walk-in into a relationship.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Store Manager to run daily operations, hit sales goals, and keep the floor running smoothly
• Track KPIs and pull together regular reporting so we always know where we stand
• Help manage ordering, supplies, and merchandising — keeping the floor stocked, beautiful, and on-brand
• Own inventory counts and keep our numbers accurate
• Build real relationships with clients — learn their skin, their routines, their lives — and guide them to the right products and treatments
• Lead by example on the sales floor: warm, knowledgeable, never pushy
• Train, support, and motivate our team; create urgency around promotions and help everyone hit their goals
• Keep the space spotless — cleanliness is part of the Xēba experience, not an afterthought
• Know our line inside and out — every ingredient, every formulation, every reason it exists
• Coordinate with our spa side to make sure clients have a seamless experience from front door to treatment room
• Open, close, and handle the operational side (Square POS, light reporting, daily wrap-up)
• Step in to cover shifts when the team needs you — including emergencies. Management covers when it counts.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in retail or spa management
• Full availability, including weekends and holidays — our busiest times are when our clients need us most
• Reliability and ownership: someone we can count on to show up and step up
• A natural salesperson
• Comfortable leading, training, and supporting a small team
• Self-motivated, organized, and steady under pressure
• Genuine interest in clean ingredients and plant-based formulation — we'll teach you the rest
• Square POS experience is a plus
• An esthetics license is a plus but not required

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
