Assistant Store Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry, with a focus on quick service and fast food restaurants, as well as fine dining experiences. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, inventory control, and cash handling.
  • Manage staff training and development to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize staff scheduling and workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain budgets while monitoring financial performance against goals.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
  • Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process for new staff members.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure quality food production and presentation.
  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including culinary experience and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on training & development, team management, and supervising experience.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial oversight in a restaurant setting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to enhancing guest experiences.
  • Experience in casual dining or banquet settings is preferred, along with barista or coffee experience when applicable.
