Assistant Store Manager, IAH Airport

SELLING SKILLS
 Use L’Occitane sales tools to implement and obtain sales objectives.
 Assist in meeting and exceeding sales plans for store.
 Manage inventory and visual sets.
 Assist in meeting and exceeding sales metrics for store.
 Acquire strong product knowledge of the entire L’Occitane product line.
 Acts as an ambassador for the brand; creates a store environment representative of a premium brand; adheres an appropriate and affective set of core values.
 Assist in driving sales to closure by enthusiastically asking questions and making appropriate product recommendations; ensure satisfied customers by enthusiastically providing legendary customer service.
 Assist in Developing “Preferred Customer Registry” for follow-up phone calls, product launches, and exclusive events.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Knowledge of basic Merchandising Principles and brand product knowledge. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and customer skills. Effective communication skills. Professional appearance. Ability to read and interpret documents such as Store Operations Manuals and Training Manuals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLILITIES

  • Participates in staffing decisions including employment, discipline and training.
  • Creates a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of the sales associates.
  • Ensures that all practices meet applicable legal requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a retail business environment within a national airport.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position will work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Employee must be able to adapt quickly to a competitive environment of retail sales. The hours of operation for each retail store will vary and are subject to airport requirements. Days and hours of work vary by schedule.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
HS diploma or equivalent. Candidates must have at least 12 months experience in a premium, luxury- branded retail environment. At least 1 year inventory control/retail management experience preferred. Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision. Skincare knowledge a plus.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
Applicants are required to undergo a criminal history background check. For on-airport operations applicants must be able to obtain airport security clearance through a fingerprint-based criminal history background check conducted by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) in order to receive the required airport security badge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
