The Assistant Teacher will help create a nurturing, inclusive space where children of all abilities can explore, grow, and thrive. Working alongside Lead Teachers and a supportive team, you will be responsible to engage children in developmentally appropriate activities while promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Assist in planning and implementing enriching, age-appropriate activities aligned with educational goals.
- Support individualized learning approaches based on each child's needs and developmental stage.
- Promote language, literacy, numeracy, creativity, and social-emotional development through daily play-based learning
- Always maintain active supervision of children, indoors and outdoors.
- Foster a safe, clean, and respectful environment that supports well-being and exploration.
- Follow all health, safety, and emergency protocols.
- Partner with Lead Teachers and team members to ensure consistent routines and learning experiences.
- Communicate with families in a respectful and compassionate manner.
- Attend team meetings, training, and CEC's events as required.

- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with children (formal or informal)
- Willingness to complete required childcare training and certifications.
- Passion for early childhood education and inclusive environments.
- CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Experience with children with disabilities or diverse learning needs.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
