IPELC is seeking a passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. We are currently prioritizing full-time candidates who are bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), dependable and punctual, and interested in continuing their education and growth within Early Childhood Education.
Full Time Hours offered for this position from Monday through Friday are as follows:
- 8:00am-5:00pm
- 8:30am-5:30pm
This position may require flexibility in shifting tasks throughout the day, and exposure to all classroom ages on a changing basis.
Teachers must live within a 5 mile radius of our locations, and have a reliable transportation method.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Background check clearance
- Three written references
- Medical form
Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain)
- First Aid & CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support daily classroom operations and assist Lead Teachers
- Provide toileting and diapering assistance to children in adherence to state standards.
- Consistently maintains cleanliness and order of the classroom environment. This includes but is not limited to mopping, sweeping, dusting, laundry, and trash removal.
- Send messages, photos, and updates to parents through the app for each attending student in the assigned classroom.
- Ability to redirect students and promote self-regulation in a kind and considerate manner.
- Uphold mandated uniform expectations.
- No facial piercings are permitted while working, in accordance with company policy.
- Uphold and maintain classroom, position, and behavioral standards in adherence to DCFS and company policy.
- Consistent in punctuality and attendance.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to support Lead Teachers in behavioral and academic processes within the classroom.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, jump, dance, walk, run, reach carry, lift 50 lbs.
- Additional responsibilities as instructed by supervisor.
