Job Title: Early Years TeacherJob Summary:
The Early Years Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging learning experiences for young children (Playgroup to KG). The teacher supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons based on the school curriculum.
- Create a safe, caring, and interactive classroom environment.
- Promote social skills, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Use play-based learning to develop language, numeracy, and motor skills.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress regularly.
- Communicate student progress and concerns to parents professionally.
- Maintain classroom discipline using positive behaviour management strategies.
- Prepare teaching materials, displays, and learning corners.
- Support children’s emotional well-being and confidence.
- Ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are followed.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and events.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and administration.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and passion for working with young children.
- Ability to manage classroom routines effectively.
- Basic computer literacy preferred.
