Assistant Teacher, Preschool

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily age-appropriate activities that support children's development and cognitive growth skills.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
• Work alongside lead teachers to support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with parents and staff regarding child engagement.
• Engage children through play, conversation, reading, and hands-on learning.
• Support daily routines including meals, diapering, and rest time.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A genuine love for working with young children

Preferred:

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate’s Degree in Early
• Childhood Education
• Experience working in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting
• Familiarity with developmentally appropriate practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
