JOB DESCRITION – CLASSROOM ASSISTANT / DAYCARE STAFF

REQUIRMENTS: 18 years of age or older

High school graduate or equivalent

Of good moral conduct

Clean Criminal History Record using Livescan Fingerprint Background Check

QUALITIES: A warm, friendly and supportive attitude. Reliable and flexible.

The duties of the assistant include: carry out activities on a daily basis, be prepared with line time activities (games, songs, stories), ensure the safety and physical well-being of the children and contribute to the effective operation of the program. The assistant reports to the lead teacher.

˃ Share the responsibility for the safety and well-being of the children at all times.

˃ Assist in keeping a clean and orderly environment.

˃ Assist in creating a pleasing, inviting atmosphere in which children feel comfortable and secure.

˃ Provide positive guidance to help children develop the ability to be self-disciplined and self-motivated.

˃ Treat children, parents and other staff with respect and dignity.

˃ Work as a team member to ensure a high standard of quality in all classrooms.

˃ Complete all training as required by Michigan Department of Human Services for licensing purpose.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
