Assistant Teacher/Floater

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our dynamic early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers, assist with daily activities, and ensure a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging educational activities aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks.
• Support classroom management by helping maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in literacy, math, and other foundational skills to support individual student needs.
• Work with children with diverse abilities, including those with autism or special needs, to promote their social and academic growth.
• Help with daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, and supervising outdoor play to ensure children’s well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, proofread educational materials, and prepare classroom resources.
• Mentor students through positive behavior management techniques and foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages curiosity and independence.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorder.
• Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to multitask across different classrooms as a floater while maintaining consistency in teaching quality.
• Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
• Experience with Montessori or private school settings is a plus.
