Assistant Teacher/Floater

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our dynamic educational team. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development
  • Support classroom management by engaging children in activities that promote positive behavior and cooperation
  • Provide individualized attention and tutoring to students, especially those with special needs or disabilities such as autism
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, document observations, and communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Support classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, and transitions to maintain a structured day
  • Contribute to lesson planning, proofreading educational materials, and preparing classroom resources as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare settings is preferred
  • Background and TB Required
  • Strong communication skills for mentoring students and collaborating with team members
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups as a floater or assistant teacher
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their academic growth through tutoring and mentoring

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
