Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Technical Designer, the Assistant Technical Designer will play a key role in product and team support. Your skills will be instrumental in helping us identify fit and specification problems and help support the tech team in ensuring that the integrity of our product is delivered. You’ll play a key role on our dynamic team, helping us rise to the challenge of meeting high expectations and increasing demand.
Schedule: This position requires a fully in-office schedule at our Los Angeles office, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate closely with the Tech Design team to effectively manage and track samples throughout the production process
- Ensure timely submission of samples and assist with organizing sample racks to meet departmental needs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding Top of Production (TOP) sample approvals, ensuring smooth and efficient communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on internal and external deliverables and quality expectations
- Review and assess TOP samples for quality, fit, and measurements to ensure all standards are met
- Assist in the TOP sample approval process through the NetSuite system, ensuring compliance with company standards and guidelines
- Support the Quality Control team by helping to address spec inquiries and resolve any discrepancies
- Accurately input and maintain fit information in the company’s Admin system to ensure records are up-to-date and complete
- Assist with setting up tech packs, ensuring all necessary details are documented and easily accessible
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, Apparel Design or equivalent work experience (Technical Design, Patternmaking or Design)
- 1-2 years of experience in the fashion industry (internships included)
- Understanding of construction and patterns across apparel
- High level of attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Photoshop or Illustrator experience
- Google Suite skills, including how to manage files in Google Drive, create custom formatting in Docs, and merge or edit data within Sheets
- In-depth knowledge of fabric, apparel, materials, construction, and fit
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in the work environment

Pay: $17.69 - $26.54 per hour
