Assistant Technical Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager oversees the performance of facilities management subcontractors, managing all administrative aspects of the managing agent contract, including Hard Services, Soft Services, and Project Supervision. This role involves supervising a team of Engineers and Supervisors, ensuring high-quality service delivery across a portfolio of facilities. The Assistant Manager ensures contract compliance, operational efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction while fostering a collaborative team environment.


Job Description:

  • Contract Management: Oversee the execution of the managing agent contract, ensuring subcontractors meet obligations for Hard Services (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing), Soft Services (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, waste management), and Project Supervision (e.g., renovations, upgrades).
  • Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of the given quota of facilities to assess Hard Services and Soft Services, ensuring operational and safety standards are met. Ideally using the prayer times to travel across the portfolio. Rotational schedule with Engineer.
  • Subcontractor Performance : Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance across Hard and Soft Services, conducting regular reviews and implementing corrective actions to maintain high standards .
  • Project Supervision: Oversee facility-related projects, such as facility renovations or system upgrades, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and compliance with specifications.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage all administrative tasks, including budgeting, invoicing, reporting, and documentation for Hard Services, Soft Services, and projects, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team, ensuring effective coordination across Hard Services, Soft Services, and project activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with facility management and all stakeholders to ensure facilities meet user expectations for cleanliness, functionality, and comfort, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all services and projects comply with safety regulations, cultural requirements, and contractual standards.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present reports on subcontractor performance, project progress, and service delivery (Hard and Soft Services) to senior management and clients.


Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management and contract administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role covering Hard and Soft Services.
  • Experience in overseeing facility-related projects, such as renovations or system installations.
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor management, Hard Services, and Soft Services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project control, reporting, and administrative tasks.
  • Valid UAE Driving License
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
