Assistant to City Prosecutor

The Assistant to the City Prosecutor requires an individual with excellent time management and organizational skills, able to sort and coordinate many priorities simultaneously. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Case Preparation: Assisting in preparing legal documents, motions, subpoenas, and case files.

Discovery Management: Organizing and managing evidence and discovery materials for court proceedings.

Legal Research: Researching statutes, case law, and legal precedents to support prosecutorial decisions.

Witness Coordination: Contacting and coordinating with the UT Trust, witnesses for interviews, potential court appearances, and testimony.

Scheduling: Managing calendars for meetings and deadlines.

Filing and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential case files and legal records.

Correspondence: Drafting letters, memos, and other communications on behalf of the prosecutor.

Data Entry: Inputting case information into legal databases or case management systems.

Answering Inquiries: Responding to questions from the public, law enforcement, and other agencies.

Customer Service: Providing general information to the public about procedures, statuses, and processes.

Must have excellent Microsoft 365 literacy.
