Assistant to Finance Director

Job Summary:

The role supports the Finance Director (FD) in financial management, cash flow control, budgeting, management reporting, and M&A-related financial activities.

This position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, transparent financial operations and to support informed business decision-making, including investment and merger & acquisition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze financial performance of business units and subsidiaries, including cash flow, cost structure, and operational efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and review of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Control cash flow and payment processes; coordinate with Treasury to ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies.
• Prepare management reports for the FD and senior management; analyze variances and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, cost allocation, and financial data standardization to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support the development, enhancement, and implementation of financial processes and internal control frameworks.
• Coordinate with Legal, Tax, Audit teams, and external partners as required.
• Participate in financial due diligence activities for M&A, investment, and business expansion projects.
• Support valuation analysis, financial modeling, and scenario analysis related to M&A and investment opportunities.
• Assist in post-merger integration activities, including financial consolidation, reporting alignment, and process standardization.
• Work closely with the FD and senior management on M&A execution, documentation, and coordination with external advisors.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or related fields.
• 4–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing; experience in multi-entity or group/holding environments is preferred.
• Mandatory or strong preference: solid background in M&A-related activities, including financial due diligence, valuation, deal analysis, or post-merger integration.
• Strong advantage for candidates with prior experience in M&A transactions, investment funds, fund management companies, corporate development teams, or Big4 advisory firms.
• Strong financial analysis, synthesis, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems and/or BI tools is a plus.
• Good command of English, with the ability to work with international partners and documentation.
• This role supports the Finance Director with reporting, meeting participation, and daily coordination while handling confidential financial information.
• Location: This is a full-time role based in Dubai . Candidates currently in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai are strongly preferred.
