Assistant to Sales Manager

This role is a great fit for someone who’s naturally positive, reliable, humble, and eager to learn. We’re looking for a person who shows up on time, brings good energy, and can present themselves confidently in a luxury environment. The ideal candidate should have an eye for fashion and a genuine interest in sales, with the ability to assist clients and close sales when the Sales Manager is not present. It’s important that this person feels comfortable following instructions carefully and supporting the Sales Manager’s direction, with a focus on keeping things running smoothly. Over time, the right candidate will also have the opportunity to grow in the position and take on more responsibility within the sales team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Opening and closing the boutique.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organizing product displays to brand standards.
  • Preparing proposals, quotations, and follow-up communication with clients.
  • Coordinating client meetings, calls, and events.
  • Managing inventory with accuracy and precision, ensuring safety and proper handling of fine jewelry.
  • Supporting business development activities, including client outreach.
  • Creating content for boutique social media platforms and follow-ups with existing clients.
  • Assisting with inventory software, shipments, and deliveries, as well as related paperwork.
  • Supporting in-person and online sales, assisting with day-to-day client interactions, and ensuring the highest level of customer service.
  • Providing excellent client hospitality, including offering beverages and light refreshments when appropriate.
  • Ensuring all operational tasks are fully set up and completed once instructions are given.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
  • Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries when the Sales Manager is unavailable.
  • Support in preparing proposals, quotations, and follow-up communication with clients.
  • Coordinate client meetings, calls, and events.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in fine jewelry retail sales preferred, with proven track record a plus.
  • Understanding of fashion and the luxury industry is preferred.
  • Ability to carefully follow management instructions with discipline and a collaborative, positive attitude.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Mental flexibility, initiative, and the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive situations calmly.
  • Understanding of the value and fragility of fine jewelry, with ability to handle merchandise safely.
  • Experience creating engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter) a plus.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
