We are seeking an Assistant to the Chef to support year-round kitchen operations at a remote lodge in Kaktovik, Alaska. This role is ideal for someone with solid kitchen experience who is adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working in an Arctic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef with daily meal preparation and service
• Support food prep, basic cooking, and plating
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining, and food storage areas
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with dishwashing, inventory, and food storage
• Willingness to help in other lodge areas as needed (housekeeping, dining setup, general support)

Required Skills & Experience:

• Previous kitchen or food service experience required
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a small team
• Comfortable working in a remote lodge with limited resources
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

Position Details:

• Year-round position
• Remote location with shared staff housing
• Work schedule includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Meals and housing provided

Pay: $180.00 per day
