Purpose
The Assistant to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) provides high-level administrative, analytical, and coordination support to ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively. This role acts as a trusted partner to the CSO, helping manage priorities, streamline communication, and support cross-functional strategy efforts. The position requires discretion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, executive environment.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction across executive leadership, management, and cross-functional teams. The position may support remote and in-office work, with occasional travel as needed.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development Support
- Attend meetings with government customers and potential customers
- Engage with vendors and identify strategic partnership opportunities
- Help identify and qualify new teaming partners and subcontractors
- Support capture strategy and proposal shaping efforts
- Assist in developing new business concepts and growth initiatives
Relationship Building & External Engagement
- Travel to trade shows, industry days, and conferences
- Schedule and participate in one-on-one meetings to generate new business opportunities
- Maintain and expand key industry and government relationships
- Represent the company professionally and strategically
Operational & Program Awareness
- Learn our current programs inside and out
- Understand how our projects are structured, managed, and delivered
- Bridge strategy and execution by ensuring business development aligns with operational capability
Executive Partnership
- Help prioritize and execute on strategic initiatives
- Prepare briefs, research, and market analysis
- Anticipate needs and remove obstacles
- Act as a force multiplier for the CSO
Executive & Administrative Support
- Manage the CSO’s calendar, scheduling, and meeting logistics
- Prepare agendas, presentations, reports, and briefing materials
- Track action items, deadlines, and follow-ups across strategic initiatives
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
