Assistant Toddler Rm Teacher

<Duties>

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum development tailored to toddler needs, including literacy education, early intervention strategies, and basic math concepts.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Engage with children through interactive activities focused on toddler care, behavior management, and physical development.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and lesson plans that promote childhood development and early childhood education best practices.
  • Monitor individual child progress, document observations, and communicate effectively with parents about their child's welfare and milestones.
  • Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure child welfare and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with team members to create inclusive learning experiences that support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services.

<Skills>

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques specific to toddlers.
  • Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom experience with toddlers.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education tailored for young children.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suitable for early childhood education.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional growth.
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members.
  • Competence in childcare safety protocols, standardized testing where applicable, and child welfare practices.
