Assistant Toddler Teacher- Part-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a nurturing, reliable, and energetic Part-Time Toddler Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working with toddlers, embraces nature-based learning, and thrives as part of a collaborative team.

The hours for this position are 1:00PM-6:00PM Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, compassionate care for toddlers (ages 1-2 years old)
• Encourage curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Assist with daily routines, including snacks, diapering/toileting, and nap time
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s day, progress, and any concerns
• Work collaboratively with team members to support classroom and center needs
• Follow all daycare policies, state regulations, and health and safety guidelines
• Perform light cleaning duties at the end of each shift, including:
• Sanitizing toys and surfaces
• Tidying and organizing classroom materials
• Taking out trash and replacing liners
• Sweeping or spot cleaning floors as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred
• Appreciation for nature-based or play-based learning approaches
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, dependable, and caring personality
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all state licensing requirements
