Our members include universal banks, regional banks and the major foreign banks doing business in the United States. Collectively, our members employ millions of Americans, make most of the nation’s small business loans, and serve as an engine for financial innovation and economic growth.
BPI staff includes economists, analysts and attorneys, all focused on using data and analysis to shape sound policy. We distribute our research products to U.S. and global regulators, members of Congress, academics and media through academic-quality research papers, blog posts, working papers, comment letters, and Congressional testimony.
Position Summary:
The Research Analyst contributes to the analysis of banking, financial markets, and other economic issues conducted by BPI’s research team. This position is well suited for a candidate that was recently granted a bachelor’s degree and considering pursuing a graduate program in economics, finance, business administration, or related field. The candidate should be self-motivated, extremely well-organized and detail-oriented, collegial and able to function under pressure and handle numerous tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate must be able to take initiative, prioritize with minimal supervision and work independently, as well as part of a team.

This is a Washington, DC-based position. The successful candidate generally will be expected to work in the DC office Monday-Thursday, with remote work option on Fridays. In addition, employees are afforded an additional 20 days of flex/remote workdays annually.
