The incumbent will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies that drive the long-term success, profitability, and sustainability of TRIL. Working in close partnership with the CEO, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner, playing a pivotal role in setting the organization’s direction across real estate, infrastructure, and investment domains. As a people-centric leader, they will foster trust, communication, and teamwork across the organization, ensuring strategy translates into operational success with measurable impact.

More specifically, the responsibilities will cover the following:

Strategic Vision & Leadership: Partner with the MD & CEO to shape and operationalize the company’s long-term strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with Tata Group’s broader objectives in real estate, infrastructure, and urban development. Translate macroeconomic, market, and policy trends into actionable business strategies.

Market & Competitive Intelligence: Analyze industry shifts, real estate investment trends, infrastructure policy developments, and competitor movements to proactively guide leadership on emerging opportunities and threats.

Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation: Lead investment planning and capital allocation processes by identifying high-return opportunities across real estate portfolios and infrastructure assets. Ensure alignment of investment decisions with financial performance goals and risk-return thresholds.

Corporate Finance & Strategic Financial Planning: Partner with the CFO and finance teams to integrate strategic planning with financial forecasting, portfolio analysis, and P&L impact assessment. Guide budgeting for growth initiatives, cost optimization, and balance sheet strengthening.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key thought partner to the MD/CEO and the Board. Foster alignment across senior leadership functions, particularly Finance, Business Development, Legal, and Projects, to ensure coordinated strategic execution.

Performance Monitoring & Strategic KPIs: Establish strategic KPIs and lead periodic business reviews to monitor progress on core objectives, resource utilization, and capital efficiency metrics.

Digital Transformation & Innovation: Drive adoption of digital tools, data analytics, and Prop Tech innovations that enhance investment decisions, asset monetization, and operational efficiencies.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Partnerships: Originate, evaluate, and execute strategic transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Lead deal structuring, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and post-deal integration planning.

Funding Strategy and Management: Support capital raising initiatives through strategic engagement with Banks and FIs. Contribute to fundraising strategy, banker presentations, and pitch narratives.
