Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, kitting, and staff supervision.

This role requires someone who can manage warehouse floor operations while also communicating with internal teams and business clients. Strong B2B communication skills and client-facing experience are essential, as this position works closely with Account Managers and customers to ensure successful fulfillment operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and experienced in fast-paced warehouse environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations

• Support the Warehouse Manager in supervising daily warehouse operations
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time
• Oversee kitting projects and special fulfillment requests
• Monitor warehouse floor activity and ensure productivity standards are met
• Ensure all shipments are processed and closed with carriers daily
• Manage scan stations, carrier shipment stations, and resolve system or packaging issues

Staff Supervision & Training

• Train and supervise warehouse staff involved in picking, packing, and shipping
• Delegate orders, warehouse tasks, and operational projects
• Monitor employee performance and productivity
• Promote a positive, motivated, and accountable team environment

Labor Planning & Productivity

• Assist with labor forecasting and workforce allocation
• Track and report productivity metrics
• Support operational improvements to increase efficiency

Client & Internal Communication

• Work closely with Account Managers, warehouse staff, and business clients
• Support client-facing communication related to fulfillment operations
• Provide operational updates and assist in resolving service issues
• Maintain professional B2B communication with customers and partners

Safety & Facility Management

• Conduct daily warehouse safety inspections
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Maintain organized and secure warehouse operations

QualificationsExperience

• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment operations
• Experience supervising picking, packing, and shipping teams
• Experience working in client-facing or B2B operational roles

Skills

• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to train and supervise warehouse staff
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Order Management Systems (OMS)
• Knowledge of carrier shipping systems and logistics processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Additional Requirements

• Forklift certification or ability to operate a forklift
• Experience operating scissor lifts preferred
• Ability to work on-site in Fort Myers, FL
