The Assistant/Associate Director for Recruitment, reporting to the Director of Admissions, plays a key leadership role in shaping and executing the University’s student recruitment and enrollment strategies. As a member of the admissions leadership team, this position leads the development and implementation of outreach initiatives to attract prospective students and meet enrollment goals. The Associate Director provides strategic direction to the recruitment team, supervising all professional recruiting staff and Junior Admissions Counselors, while fostering a collaborative and results-driven approach to engaging future students.
What You'll Do:
Lead and oversee all student recruitment and outreach initiatives.
Manage a designated recruitment territory.
Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and campus partners, including Student Financial Services, the Registrar’s Office, Success Advising, and Athletics, to support enrollment and onboarding.
Develop and execute recruitment strategies in partnership with Admissions, Marketing, and Student Financial Services.
Supervise, train, and evaluate professional recruiting staff and manage their territories.
Support and guide on-campus and off-campus volunteers involved in recruitment activities.
Analyze recruitment data to inform strategies and set goals to increase inquiries, applications, and admits.
Plan and coordinate staff recruitment schedules and events.
Oversee follow-up communications with prospects, applicants, and admitted students.
Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other organizations to strengthen recruitment pipelines.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Several years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field.
Proven supervisory and leadership experience with the ability to set goals and motivate a team.
Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
Commitment to confidentiality and professional discretion.
Proficiency with technology and data management tools.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
