Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
to join the Department of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver Lectures and Seminars:
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses which are relevant to Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy

Course Design:
Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, and assessment tools.

Student Mentorship:
Advise and mentor students academically and professionally

Conduct Research:
Conduct original research in Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Pharmacy
-
Publish Work:
Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals, contribute to books or academic conferences.

Grant Writing:
Apply for research grants and funding from academic, governmental, or private organizations.

Collaborative Research:
Work with colleagues, healthcare institutions, or policymakers on joint research projects.

Departmental Duties:
Serve on departmental, college, or university committees (e.g., curriculum committee, assessment committee).

Community Engagement:
Collaborate with local healthcare organizations or government bodies on initiatives that benefit public health.

Professional Development:
Stay updated with changes in the healthcare sector and in the best educational practices.

Leadership Roles:
May take on leadership roles such as program coordinator, committee chair, or academic advisor.

Supervise undergraduate/Postgraduate Students:
Guide students in their research and career development.

Field Placement Support:
Assist students with internships or fieldwork placements in healthcare organizations.

Program Review:
Contribute to the accreditation processes and quality assurance of academic programs.

Assessment:
Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and program evaluation activities.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

PhD in Clinical Pharmacy/ Pharmacy Practice
-
Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy
-
Research-active with a strong international publication record
-
Continuous, uninterrupted teaching experience

Candidates who are licensed as clinical Pharmacist, board – certified, with accredited fellowships or PGYI/PGY2 residency are preferred
