Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant/General Manager to lead our high-volume patio bar, a vibrant hub of social activity and culinary excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operation of the high-volume patio bar, ensuring smooth service during peak hours and special events
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to maintain high standards of customer service and food quality
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served
- Supervise inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs to meet budget targets
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Enforce food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations
- Train staff on food handling, customer service techniques, and operational procedures to foster a team-oriented environment
- Handle shift management duties including opening/closing procedures, resolving customer concerns swiftly and professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production for casual dining, catering events, or banquets as needed
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership within high-volume settings
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent cash handling skills and inventory control expertise
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training & development capabilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to manage shift operations effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Leadership qualities that motivate teams and foster a positive work culture
- Experience in casual dining or bar environments; hotel or catering experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in budgeting and food management tasks
